Using Workout Writer with your Garmin device

Workout Writer works beautifully with Garmin devices. The app allows you to easily create structured workouts, and then either send them (unscheduled) to Garmin Connect, or schedule them for specific dates.


To use Workout Writer with Garmin, firstly, authorise the app for access to your Garmin Connect account. If you didn't do this during setup, then go to "Settings -> Destination", and choose "Garmin". Follow the instructions to authorise Workout Writer to access your Garmin Connect account and you're ready to go!


Once you've selected Garmin as your destination, you'll see the two Garmin buttons at the bottom of the workout editor. Either choose "Send" or "Schedule" and the app will connect to Garmin's servers and upload the workout plan.


Please note: when using Garmin as your destination, you may need to open the Garmin Connect app in order to actually sync the new workout to your watch. See links below for details on how to do this.
