Sharing Workouts
Workout Writer is a powerful and easy way of creating structured workouts for yourself. It is also useful for creating workouts to share with your friends, coaching clients, or club.
When preparing a workout to share, consider whether you should be using explicitly specified efforts e.g. 4:30/km or 200W, more general efforts e.g. Z4 or an "effort tag" e.g. "Tempo".
Once you've created the workout, tap the menu button in the top right corner of the screen, and select "Share".
To share a workout with people who you're currently with, just ask them to scan the QR code. If they don't already have the app installed, then they'll see a preview of the workout, and a link to download the app. If they do have Workout Writer installed, then they'll be taken straight into the workout so they can send it to their watch.
If you'd like to send the workout to someone who's not with you, then the best option is to choose "Link" to bring up options for sharing a link to the workout e.g. via Messages.
You can also share the QR code itself via an app, or just share the original workout text.
